General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Griffin (Matt Cohen) has a new triangle in the works. This one isn’t exactly traditional, but it’ll affect his relationship with Ava (Maura West) in a big way. Matt Cohen gave the scoop in an interview with TV Insider, so let’s look at the hints he had to offer.
Cohen promised that a rocky road’s ahead for “GrAva.” Griffin’s loyalties will certainly be tested thanks to Ava and Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) drama. “Half of Griffin’s heart lays with Sonny and half of it lays with Ava,” Cohen said. He added that maybe Ava has a slight edge right now, but Sonny’s side of all this will make it a complex situation. Cohen teased, “I think it’s going to create a very unique triangle.”
Despite the issues that are bubbling up, Cohen suggested that Griffin and Ava make a good match. They’ve got a real sweet-and-spicy thing going on! “I think Griffin is a breath of fresh air for Ava and I think Ava’s badassness is a breath of fresh air for Griffin,” Cohen said. “It gives him a little backbone, a little edge. Cohen indicated that they can “learn and grow from each other,” so that’s always a plus.
Of course, Griffin’s GH storylines have allowed Cohen to work with some fantastic actors. He’s definitely thrilled about that. Cohen pointed out that it’s great playing in scenes with soap powerhouses. He’s particularly impressed by General Hospital’s Maurice Benard, Maura West and Max Gail (Mike).
“I can only get so lucky to be working with Maura and Maurice, and these very heavy storylines, and Max, and just everybody that’s kind of surrounding my immediate storyline is only making me better, Cohen said. He insisted that he’s grateful for all the opportunities, so that’s awesome to hear. Everyone loves an appreciative soap star!
General Hospital spoilers say Ava and Griffin will have a lot to work through, especially once the custody battle heats up. Ava also peeked at those paternity test results, which were supposed to remain private.
